Helen Lewin

Helen Lewin, is a daughter, mother, grandmother and practising lawyer. She has a husband, two children, a daughter in law and two grandchildren as well as Presley the cat.
Helen has a strong commitment to the Jewish Community having served on the Board of NCJWA Vic since 2016. During her time on the Board of NCJWA Vic she served as Secretary then President and chaired the Governance and Risk Committee and the Development Committee. She also actively participated in the Advocacy, Finance and Building committees.
As a qualified lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience in commercial law, telecommunications, privacy and corporate compliance, Helen was formerly, the Deputy Privacy Commissioner (Victoria) and the Chief Privacy Officer and Head of Corporate Compliance at Telstra Corporation. Helen now works as a lawyer and privacy consultant.
Helen is a feminist and passionate about the advancement of Jewish women in Australian society, promoting gender equality and women’s rights. She strongly supports advocacy for Israel, and any action to end antisemitism and revitalise Jewish life in Australia.
