Jo Silver

Jo Silver is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in leading organisations, teams, and strategies across multiple sectors in Melbourne, Singapore, and London. She has held roles as CEO of Stand Up, GM of Outdoor Consultants and the Alma Sports Club, EO of the Victorian Parents Council, and led council teams in corporate planning and performance and community development, and gender equality and project management in forensic mental health. She has an MBA, Cert IV in Training and Development and undergrad in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Jo is a passionate advocate for social justice and equity and loves growing organisations through her strong skills in strategic thinking, communication, and relationship building. She is naturally innovative and always looks for the optimal way to deliver services, maximise outcomes and meet stakeholder needs.
Within the Jewish community, Jo is currently secretary for her shule, Kehilat Nitzan, and Trustee for the Marion & Kurt Lippmann Foundation. She worked for the Jewish Community Council of Victoria and held board positions with National Council of Jewish Women of Australia (treasurer), Online Hate Prevention Institute (director), Jewish Christian Muslim Association (secretary), and Spiritual Health Victoria. Outside of the Jewish Community, she was Vice President of the Australian Parents Council and President of Toy Libraries Victoria.
She lives with: three amazing men involved with CSG, shule, Mitzvah Day and Scouts; Sarah the dog; and her latest love, Kyma, the sea kayak.
