Liora Miller

Vice President and Co-Chair, Engagement Committee

 

Liora is Vice President of the NCJWA. 

Liora is a co-leader of Project A – a grassroots movement founded after October 7, dedicated to empowering community members to advocate for Israel and uphold a thriving, Jewish way of life. We collaborate with existing Jewish organisations to strengthen the resilience of the Australian Jewish community. 

Liora is a Board Member of Parachute for Kids, a NFP that distributes micro-grants to children who have experienced trauma.

She has a Masters and Bachelor of Law degrees.  

 

During state election periods, Liora is appointed as an election manager for the Victorian Electoral Commission.  

 

Previously, Liora managed international programs including the seminal Ulpan program at Mount Scopus College for 8 years.  

 

She has practiced as a Costs Lawyer, Legal Adviser and Women’s Affairs adviser to the Attorney General (Vic) and was a Judge's Associate to a Supreme Court Judge.  

 

She is a co- founder of the online platform: Jewish Women of Words, a place to empower and amplify women’s voices. Her own articles have been published across mainstream Australian media including in The Australian, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, the ABC, Women’s Agenda and Mamamia. Her Israel and Jewish related content have also been published in the Australian Jewish News and Times of Israel. 

 

Liora is married to Ashley and has 3 opinionated, young-adult children.
