Moran Dvir

Co-Chair Engagement Committee

Moran Dvir is an activist, advocate and highly engaged member of the Australian Jewish community. With a background in marketing, strategic communications and lobbying experience, she brings a multitude of skills and experience to not for profit boards.

Most recently, Moran has been an active co-founder and leader of Project A, a grassroots advocacy group formed soon after 7/10. In this role, she is involved with media and government relations, strategy, community liaison, consulting with key stakeholders, events and volunteer engagement.

A key component of her advocacy has been around the silence of women's groups and feminists. Moran worked closely with NCJWA Vic and other groups to produce a women's vigil attended by MPs, the Chair of UN Women Australia and 700+ members of the Melbourne Jewish community. The event was widely  covered by multiple media outlets.

Moran is a former board member of NCJWA Vic, as well as the founder of Twelve & Thirteen, a founding Board member of The Nappy Collective and Kids in Philanthropy. During her time at NCJWA Vic, Moran worked on various major campaigns and projects, including fundraising, strategic communications and advocacy.

Moran holds a Diploma of Governance from the Institute of Community Directors, a B.A (Monash University) and a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations (RMIT).  She has been a feminist since before she knew what the word meant and has dedicated decades of energy, resources and passion to promoting gender equality and women’s rights.
